Overview
Laser hair removal uses light energy to target the hair follicle and reduce regrowth. The clinic uses USFDA-approved laser systems suited to Indian skin types.
Settings are matched to your skin and hair, which matters for both effectiveness and safety on darker skin tones.
This may be relevant if…
- Unwanted facial or body hair
- Irritation, ingrown hairs or darkening from repeated shaving or waxing
- Excess hair growth that you would like reduced
At your consultation
- Assessing skin type, hair colour and thickness
- Asking about medicines, recent sun exposure and skin conditions
- Where excess hair growth may have a hormonal cause, suggesting appropriate evaluation
How it is done
Treatment is given as a course of sessions spaced apart, because hair grows in cycles and only actively growing hair responds.
Risks, recovery & limits
- Laser treatment reduces hair; some fine regrowth and occasional maintenance sessions are common.
- Temporary redness and swelling can occur. Less commonly there may be changes in skin colour or, rarely, burns — careful settings and sun protection reduce this risk.
Other options
- Shaving, waxing, threading or creams
- Choosing not to have treatment
